What people do today

Ideas a builder, maker or community group could start on:

A free, open-source food database app that prioritizes barcode scanning as a core, non-gated feature.
A browser extension that allows users to scan barcodes via webcam and auto-populate data into free tracking tools.
A community-maintained database project that provides an open API for barcode-to-nutrition lookups to reduce dependency on proprietary apps.
